Kenny Lofton played from 1991 to 2007. Ten of those seasons were spent here in Cleveland,Ohio where he is extremely popular. In his career Lofton had 2,428 hits for a lifetime .299 average. He scored 1528 runs and drove in 738. He had 383 doubles and 116 triples to go along with 130 home runs. He also had 622 career stolen bases. Kenny won four Golden Glove awards. He was a six time All Star.He appeared in post season play ten times. He played in the World Series twice. Lofton will not even be on next year’s Hall Of Fame ballot. He only received 3.2% of the vote this year. 5% is needed to have your name put on next year’s ballot. He was one of the most respected lead off hitters of his era.
